On Saturday the Liverpool will host Arsenal on Anfield, the only two teams with the perfect records after two rounds of Premier League. The Reds have won against Norwich and Southampton while the Gunners have won against Newcastle and Burnley. Liverpool have already been put to test when playing Man City in the Community Shield and Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup. For Arsenal this will be their first big test of the season.
Liverpool:
After a busy start for Liverpool, first losing to Man City in the Community Shield and then they won the UEFA Super Cup trophy against Chelsea, for this game they will have had a week off. They have won both their games in the Premier League this season. They kicked off with a 4-1 home win over Norwich and then travelled to Southampton and came away 2-1 winners even after Adrian´s mistake. Liverpool haven’t lost a home league game in the past two seasons. They are unbeaten in the last 41 home league games and have won 15 of the last 16. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 8 games against Arsenal.
Arsenal:
Arsenal also had a perfect start of the season with two wins, but both by a single goal. First off, they beat Newcastle United 1-0 away and then won their first home league game of the season 2-1 against Burnley. They have made several new signings this summer but not all of them have been starting games yet. Arsenal will need to improve their away record if they are to challenge for the top four or even the top six. They haven’t won a league match at Anfield since September 2012 and have only 4 wins in their last 14 away league games. The Geeks believe that Unai Emery’s troops are going to return home empty-handed. A man to watch is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has already netted two goals in the new Premier League campaign
