Canada 6–0 Qatar: J. David hat-trick seals stunning Group B victory
Canada produced a stunning display to dismantle Qatar 6–0 in Group B of the World Cup 2026 hub, with Jonathan David’s hat-trick the centrepiece of a commanding performance on 18 June 2026.
Larin got Canada off to a flying start, striking in the 16th minute to open the floodgates. J. David then took centre stage, adding a second for Canada in the 29th minute before burying a third just beyond the regulation 45 minutes in stoppage time to send the teams in at the break with the contest already looking one-sided.
Second half brings more misery for Qatar
If Qatar harboured any hopes of a recovery, Saliba extinguished them in the 64th minute with Canada’s fourth goal of the evening. Manai then turned the ball into his own net in the 75th minute to make it five, and J. David completed his hat-trick deep into stoppage time — netting in the 90+2nd minute to round off a crushing 6–0 victory.
Qatar offered no reply at any stage, finishing the match without a goal to their name.
