Good Times Studios — new studio, big claims, two games to back them up
Right then. Good Times Studios is the kind of casino-studio story that comes around every six months. Founders with claimed industry experience, slick branding, a couple of slots, big plans on the roadmap. Sometimes these studios become Hacksaw or NoLimit City. Sometimes they ship four games and disappear. Too early to know which side this lands on.
Here’s what we do know.
The library, today
Two games live as of May 2026: Avalanche (their flagship, released 14 April 2026) and Vatica: Voice of Lost Souls. Four more themed releases on the roadmap through Q3 2026 — Pirate, Fantasy, Space, Farm. Studio-as-a-pipeline rather than a marquee-release shop, which is fine if the pipeline holds. Hacksaw shipped fewer than 12 slots a year and still became one of the most-streamed studios on the planet. Slow can work.
The Hacksaw connection
The free-play demos on goodtimesstudios.com don’t run on the studio’s own RGS. They run on static-local.hacksawgaming.com and call the Hacksaw RGS API. That tells us the studio uses Hacksaw Gaming’s technical stack for game certification and game-server hosting. This isn’t a problem — Hacksaw’s pipeline is well-certified, and a new studio leaning on proven infrastructure is sensible. It does mean that Hacksaw’s distribution agreements likely shape where Good Times Studios games end up. If a casino carries Hacksaw, they have a low-friction path to also offering Good Times Studios titles.
Avalanche, the only game we can properly score
Avalanche is the showcase. 5×5 grid, cascading wins, multiplier Wilds stacking to 50x, a guaranteed-Avalanche bonus feature with a growing global multiplier, and a Max Win Wheel ceiling of 15,000x your stake. 96.24% RTP. High volatility. On paper this is a Hacksaw-style game with Hacksaw-style maths. Read the full breakdown on the Avalanche review.
Where you can play Good Times Studios games today
Good Times Studios titles are currently distributed mainly through crypto-first casinos. Of the operators we cover, Gamdom is the most established carrier — Curaçao-licensed, 8,000+ games, instant crypto cashier. Stake and Rainbet also carry Good Times Studios titles through the shared Hacksaw RGS plumbing. All three are crypto-first, Curaçao-class operators — fine for international players who understand the trade-offs (covered in each casino review), not for players in regulated markets like the UK, US, Sweden or Germany.
The gap is at the Tier-1 regulated end. UKGC / MGA-licensed operators like MrVegas and LeoVegas carry Hacksaw Gaming directly but haven’t yet picked up Good Times Studios titles. The RGS plumbing is identical, so the path is there — the commercial agreements just haven’t completed. We’ll update this page when regulated distribution lands.
If you’re a regulated-market player, this is a “wait” call. The mechanics look promising and the RTP is competitive, but signing up at an unreviewed crypto site just to play these games isn’t a trade-off we recommend. Use one of the crypto casinos we’ve actually reviewed, or wait for Tier-1 distribution.
Who Good Times Studios is for
If you’re a regulated-market player curious about new mechanics: watch this studio. The slots are promising and the licensed-operator distribution is the question worth waiting on. If you’re an international player comfortable with Curaçao-licensed crypto casinos, you can play Good Times Studios games today at Gamdom, Stake or Rainbet — understand the licensing trade-off first.
8.0 — graded on Avalanche’s mechanics, the Hacksaw-pipeline credibility, and the published roadmap. Score is provisional and will move as more games release and licensed distribution becomes traceable.
What we love
- Avalanche launches with serious mechanics — cascading wins, multiplier wilds, 15,000x ceiling
- Built on Hacksaw Gaming's RGS — proven game integrity, fair certification path
- 96.24% RTP on Avalanche sits at the higher end for high-volatility slots
- Deliberate slow-release cadence (4 themes scheduled through Q3 2026)
- Strong visual identity from launch — not the usual generic-studio look
Where they slip
- Library is two games. Two.
- Distribution still skewed to crypto-first casinos — Tier-1 regulated operators (LeoVegas, MrVegas) haven't picked up the titles yet
- No streaming or track-record data yet — variance and payout reliability unproven over volume
- Founding team's experience is claimed but unnamed publicly
